***Our app has only a few plants in its database as of now, but more will be coming soon as more nurseries are starting to supply more plants.***

Our app is designed to tell the user whether or not a plant is safe for bees. All the user has to do is click a button to scan the barcode of a plant.

Bees pollinate one third of the worlds food, and 2 in 3 bites humans eat. Einstein said, "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would have only four years of life left." Almost all citrus fruits and many other fruits, as well as almonds, are pollinated completely by bees. No other pollinators pollinate those plants. They would all go extinct without bees. In addition, 7 new species of bees were placed on the RedList Endangered Species list in 2016 alone.

Neonicotinoids are the most common classification of insecticides. They can kill bees outright. They can also cause the bees to get lost and never make it back to their hive - or if they do, they bring contaminated pollen and poison the brood (which is the collective term for the not yet developed bees). Agriculture is a bigger industry, but neonics are a bigger problem in garden plants, as the amount of neonics allowed in garden plants is 120 times what is allowed in agriculture.
